Snack Series: Pineapple Dole Whip

It’s time we highlight one of the most well known and sought after snacks in all of Disney World, which just happens to be vegan! We present to you, the Pineapple Dole Whip.

Pineapple Dole Whip Float from Aloha Isle

This beauty is most well known for being in Magic Kingdom at Aloha Isle in Adventureland. There are two options for the dole whip, in a float or just as soft-serve. The vanilla flavor is not vegan, so be sure to specify just pineapple.

Pineapple Soft Serve with Coconut Rum from Tamu Tamu

If you’re not in Magic Kingdom and are craving some pineapple soft-serve, you can find it at several other locations on Disney property. One of our favorites being at Tamu Tamu in Animal Kingdom. However here the float only exists with coconut or dark rum, but you can get just plain soft serve here if rum isn’t your thing.

Pineapple Soft Serve from Pineapple Lanai

Another location for a Dole Whip is from Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Here you can get a float or just soft-serve.

You can also find the Pineapple Soft-Serve at Everything POP at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. Lastly you can find it at Marketplace Snacks at Disney Springs. If you notice in the photos, the consistency and color seems to vary, they are all vegan though. It depends on the mix that day and who did it, we have had Dole Whip Floats look more like the soft serve pictured at Tamu Tamu and vice versa.

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!

  1. My girlfriend and I (both of us are vegan) are headed there this Summer. We love visiting, but since haven’t been since we changed to a vegan diet three years ago. This site is a lifesaver! Thank you!!

  2. We Pre-Ordered our DOLE WHIP at Magic Kingdom’s Aloha Isle with Mobile Order and pre-paid via the My Disney Experience app. This is an awesome service. Use it at any quick service it is offered. It helps make things move quickly and be more enjoyable. Yes! We loved the Dole Whip! How can you not?

    1. That’s great! The only issue we’ve found with mobile order at many QS locations is that you need to specify changes to things (like the rice at Pecos bills) which you can’t do on the app. But you can order vegan at Satu’li Canteen very easily! Just as long as you aren’t getting the hearty salad base.
