Snack Series: Mr Kamals

It’s time for our weekly snack highlight! In our series we’re working on highlighting some of the best vegan snacks in Walt Disney World. Today we’re heading to one of our favorite snacks in Animal Kingdom from Mr. Kamal’s.

Mr. Kamal’s is located on the walkway between Asia and Africa in Animal Kingdom. There is a large seating area behind the stand with a great view of the Tree of Life. Mr. Kamal’s has several vegan friendly options, but our favorite is Mr. Kamal’s Seasoned Fries. These fries come with a Sriracha Ketchup and Tzatziki, which you need to order without as it contains dairy.

The fries have a nice seasoning salt on them and the ketchup has a little kick to it. I love sriracha, so I would prefer it to be more sriracha and less ketchup, but it’s still very good. If you’re a little wary of spicy things, you can ask for your ketchup to be on the side.

Mr. Kamal’s also has falafel, which you can get without tzatziki, but we have heard that they aren’t as good as they used to be. There is also hummus with vegetables and pita, just be sure to double check that it is all vegan friendly. These are available as snack credits with the Disney Dining Plan.

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
