Snack Series: Popcorn

We’re continuing our snack series with an all-time favorite, popcorn! Many people are surprised to learn that the fresh popped popcorn in Disney is vegan. The popcorn itself is Pop Secret, which store sold items are not vegan. They use a “butter flavor” which is vegan, much like at a movie theatre. You can buy reusable buckets for your snacks or just a one time use sleeve.

Popcorn Stand

For reusable buckets you can find two options, in Magic Kingdom a few popcorn locations have a special Mickey Balloon shaped bucket. This fun bucket is $15 with refills under $2.

Another option is the generic popcorn bucket that you can find in any park, this bucket is $10 with the same refill cost as the balloon.

Refillable Popcorn Bucket

If you don’t want to do a refillable bucket, popcorn is about $4. If you’re trying to save a little bit, the buckets are definitely worth it!

Popcorn, Non-refillable

On top of the normal butter flavor, the maple popcorn in both Fronteirland in Magic Kingdom and the Canada Pavilion in Epcot. You can also get this in your refillable bucket!

Popcorn is a great snack and an easy one to find in the parks! We love that Disney finally has a refillable bucket. Plus it makes it easier to take back to the resort at night for a midnight snack.

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
