Art of Animation is one of Disney’s newer resorts which features lots of hidden Disney magic and theming of what really goes into animating a film. Art of Animation is value resort but offers tons of family suites with themes like Cars, Lion King and Finding Nemo. Each section of this resort is truly immersive and offers great photo opportunities.

Landscape of Flavors is Art of Animations quick service dining area which is located by the main pool and lobby of the resort. Here you can find loads of different types of foods, including the incredible vegan seitan scramble which is apparently available all day! I was on a mission though, I wanted to get the Plant-based Burger from here.

Ordering this burger ended up being more interesting then I would have thought. I asked the cast member at the register if the burger and bun were vegan as is. She didn’t know and just starred blankly at me. After I starred back at her she asked if I wanted to speak with a chef, to which I said yes. I moved out of the way until a chef came to me. To my surprise Chef Huy, who had helped us before, and another Chef came to speak with me at the same time. I asked if the bun was vegan or if I needed to swap anything. Chef Huy responded no, while the other chef (who actually came from the burger area) said yes. Then we all looked at each other confused. The other chef assured me it was vegan as he uses them daily, I told them this was a little concerning.
So I ordered it trusting the other chef and noticed Chef Huy in the back checking the bun. He came back to where I was waiting and told me the brioche bun it comes on is vegan. I thanked him for double checking it and then asked that he made sure the cheese was melted on my burger. I asked specifically because I have seen several other guests post photos of their burgers with very unmelted cheese.

After what felt like forever, my food was ready. The side options are the standard non vegan coleslaw and other things so I just got two sides of fries. You can always ask if you can swap one of the sides for a kids side of fruit or a bag of chips to take to the parks later.

The Plant-based Burger is the same Beyond Meat Beyond Burger that we have had at several other locations in Disney. This may have been one of my favorites I have had though, mostly because they had Daiya vegan cheddar cheese! The burger was cooked well-done and the cheese had started to get crispy from getting grilled. The toppings for the burger are just your standard lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle.

We’re loving all these Beyond Burgers all over property. So keep ordering them so they stick! The Beyond Burger is gluten free, so you can always check if the gluten free bun is vegan or just get it on a lettuce bun.
