Snack Series: Beaches & Cream

It’s Friday, which means it’s time for our Snack Series! This week we’re going to head over to one of our favorite resorts, Disney’s Beach Club. Disney’s Beach Club is connected to Disney’s Yacht Club and is a short walk from Epcot’s World Showcase. The Beach Club houses a few fun restaurants, but today we’re focusing on the To Go section of Beaches & Cream.

Inside Beaches & Cream Restaurant

Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is found by the pool at Disney’s Beach Club. Here you can choose to dine in, often booked very far out due to its small size and incredible desserts, or you can go to the to go window for just dessert.

To Go Sign

We recently stopped by for some dessert on our way back to Epcot from Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club. We went in and checked out the menu board, nothing of which mentions vegan items.

I spoke with the cast member at the register and said we were vegan. He told us that they have Rice Dream, Tofutti, and So Delicious coconut ice cream available. I was curious about toppings so he went to ask for us. When he came back he told us we could get the chocolate sauce, peanut butter sauce (Jif), and Oreos. We have seen other people get maraschino cherries, chocolate chips, and peanut butter chips, however we have not confirmed that those are actually vegan.

Vanilla Tofutti with Chocolate Sauce and Oreo

I opted for two scoops of Vanilla Tofutti, chocolate sauce and Oreos for my sundae. It was pretty tasty and really hit the sweet spot.

Corey got his Vanilla Tofutti with the hot peanut butter sauce and chocolate sauce.

Both Sundaes

This is a quick walk from Epcot and 100% worth it! They have way more toppings than the ice cream parlor in Magic Kingdom, and the resort is a great place to explore away from the parks. If you’re on the dining plan you can use snack credits on your sundaes.

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
