A Lunch at Tangierine Cafe

This review reflects our experience from September of 2016.

Finding a quick meal in Disney World is pretty easy, but it’s finding a fresh tasting and filling quick meal that can be a little harder. All throughout Walt Disney World there are tons of vegan quick service options, many contain french fries and some sort of vegetable patty. That’s not the case when you’re searching for a quick option in Epcot’s World Showcase. One of our absolute favorite quick service options is at Tangierine Cafe in the Morocco pavilion.

This review reflects our experience from October 2015.

Sometimes when you’re in Disney World you just want a decent quick service option to keep you going. One of our absolute favorite quick service options has always been Tangierine Cafe in the Morocco Pavilion in Epcot. The theming here is absolutely beautiful and the food tastes very fresh. This is a great option to keep you full and give you a real immersive feeling in World Showcase.

Tangierine Cafe offers Moroccan cuisine which includes falafel, tabbouleh, hummus and much more. On the menu there are a few options that can be made vegan. On our last trip we decided to go with the Vegetable Platter and a Falafel Wrap. You can also get the Mediterranean Sliders Combo here with falafel. Previously the lentil salad contained mayo but is now completely vegan! Just a heads up, the falafel and french fries are cooked in a shared fryer.  Continue reading

Falafel and Lentils from Tangierine Cafe

This review reflects our experience in May of 2015.

One of the most beautiful and unique pavilions in Epcot’s World Showcase is Morocco. Once you walk back into this pavilion you will truly feel as though you have been transported to Africa. This pavilion features a shopping bazaar and three different dining locations, two table services and one quick service. Tangierine Cafe is the quick service option in Morocco and features both indoor and outdoor seating. This is a great place to enjoy some veggie heavy meals with a beautiful atmosphere.

Dining in World Showcase, Spice Road Table

This review reflects our experience in May of 2015.

Have you wanted to experience Moroccan cuisine in the comfort of Disney World? Lucky for you there is a Morocco pavilion in Disney’s Epcot! Morocco features three places to eat that include two table services and one quick service. Spice Road Table in a table service restaurant found along World Showcase Lagoon and offers a perfect viewing area for Epcot’s evening fireworks show IllumiNations.

When Spice Road Table opened in early 2014 it was considered a quick service sit down. Recently they switched Spice Road Table to a restaurant that accepts ADR’s, advance dining reservations, with this change they have expanded their menu. The menu previously only featured small plates, appetizers and drinks. The new menu now contains small plates, entrees, desserts and drinks.

Tangierine Cafe – Morocco’s Quick Service

This review reflects our experience in May of 2014.

When you’re walking around the World, you are bound to get hungry at some point(har har). Luckily half way around World Showcase in Epcot you will find Morocco. Morocco now offers three separate dining experiences; Spice Road Table, Restaurant Marrakesh and Tangierine Cafe. For a quick meal we often stop in Tangierine Cafe where they offer a vegetable platter and a falafel wrap.  They offer minimal seating inside, which is a bad situation if it’s raining, but there is a large patio area outside as long as it’s nice out.

When you go to Tangierine Cafe as a vegan there are a few things you need to know. The Vegetable Platter consists of Falafel, Pita, Hummus, Olives, Couscous Salad, Tabouleh and Lentil Salad. The Lentil Salad IS NOT vegan, this item contains mayo. They will easily swap this item for you with extra of something else. The Pitas they use are also NOT vegan. Make sure you tell them this and they will swap them for honey-free pitas. Continue reading
