Vegan Chorizo Build Your Own from Blaze Pizza

One of our favorite quick service spots at Disney Springs is Blaze Pizza. This is actually a national chain, and while I have one that I pass on my way to Walt Disney World, the one in Disney Springs just tastes better.

Blaze has several vegan options available for your pizza here. The classic crust, and the gluten free crust are both vegan here. Both the normal tomato sauce and the spicy tomato sauce are also vegan.

Vegan Cheese and Vegan Chorizo

Additionally they have vegan cheese, which is Daiya Cutting Board Shreds, and they have a spicy vegan chorizo! On top of all of that, they have tons of other toppings to enjoy from roasted garlic, mushrooms, olives, and even arugula to finish the pizza.

When you order here, let them know you want to do a vegan pizza, we usually just go with a Build Your Own. They then typically ask if you want a glove change, if they don’t ask you should ask for it, so that they are using fresh gloves to put the toppings on. They also have a back line they use for allergies. This also will mean they use a fresh cutter when your pizza is ready.

Outdoor Seating

When you get your pizza here they give you a pager so you can find a table. They have plenty of tables both inside and outside here, with the outside ones being covered. They have the tables marked with a “do not sit here” every other table to keep with social distancing.

Once your pizza (or first if you have several) is ready they page you to come get it at the counter. They are typically pretty quick with making pizzas here, so if you’re very hungry this is a good spot to go to. When you are done with the pager you just drop it in a bin and head to your table.

The pizzas here are a pretty large personal pizza (11″), which are easy to share or keep for snacking on later. They have boxes easily available for your leftovers if you don’t finish the pizza.

I really enjoy the vegan chorizo they have, but have found that the heat in it is pretty inconsistent. I am not sure if it’s due to how much of it I get on the pizza, or if the heat just changes in general. But it adds a nice little heat to the pizza, but as for texture it’s not noticeable.

They have so many toppings to choose from here that it’s so easy to order a pizza for anyone, no matter their preference. They also don’t charge based on how many toppings you do when you do a Build Your Own, so load up!

What are your toppings of choice? I love banana peppers on my pizzas!

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
