The other day we made a stop on our way to Magic Kingdom to see the finished Gingerbread House at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Each year this house is a huge production and seeing (and smelling!) it in person is truly something else.

The Gingerbread House is located in the lobby of the resort and is hard to miss. It took them about a week to put the whole thing up.

The Gingerbread House, much like the display at the Contemporary Resort, has treats for sale. We were able to find some Erin McKenna’s sweets when we stopped by.

We got both of the options available for us, a Gingerbread Man and Thin Mint Cookie. These are always a nice treat and are great to throw in a bag and enjoy later. You can get the Thin Mint year round at Erin McKenna’s Bakery in Disney Springs, but the Gingerbread Man is seasonal.

We’ve had these a few times. This time the Thin Mint was crispy (usually at the bakery it’s soft), and the Gingerbread Man was also on the crispy side. We’re unsure if this is because they were on the older side or not, but we actually preferred them this way!
Are you heading to any resorts this year to see the holiday decor? Which is your favorite?
