Vegan Holiday Treats at the Gingerbread Displays

It’s a few days after Halloween which in Disney World means it’s time for CHRISTMAS! While the resorts aren’t fully decorated for a few more weeks, Disney’s Contemporary Resort has already put up and opened their annual Gingerbread display. Only this resort and the Grand Floridian Resort do these displays, the Grand Floridian is currently putting theirs up.

Each year they showcase these beautiful displays and have an area to purchase holiday treats. In the past they had a vegan option from Erin McKenna’s that was a Gluten Free Gingerbread Boy. This year they debuted a new vegan option the Plant Based Gingerbread Loaf.

The Gingerbread Loaf is delicious. It is super moist and packed with holiday flavor. I purchased mine on Friday and didn’t eat it until Sunday evening and it was still great. I know I will be back a few more times for these! They’re not overly sweet and would make for a great breakfast with coffee.

When I purchased the loaf I asked about any other options (since I didn’t see the Erin McKenna’s cookies) and was told they were out of the Gingerbread Boys. I checked back 3 times over the course of the next few days and they never had them. Finally today they had them. These are the same as previous years. They taste like a gingerbread man and if you have special dietary needs they’re great.

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
