Vegan Burger at ABC Commissary

Man oh man, Disney World has really been stepping up their vegan offerings this year! One of the newest editions is now at ABC Commissary in Hollywood Studios. This park was one of the hardest places to find vegan food for so many years, and now they are absolutely crushing it when it comes to vegan options at quick service locations, and table service too.

ABC Commissary

I’ll be honest, I had never eaten at ABC Commissary until this item came out. I knew in the past they could, sometimes, make an off the menu vegan burger (with a Malibu Gardenburger), but now they have one on the menu! And this isn’t just any vegan burger, it’s a Beyond Burger with a vegan mayo and a sriracha mustard.

ABC Commissary can be found on Commissary Lane, near Sci-Fi Dine-In at Hollywood Studios. This quick service location has the Vegan Burger on the menu and was completely vegan as is, as we would hope with that name.

The burger was great, we prefer ours cooked a little longer to get crispy, and they definitely do that here. The burger comes with sautéed peppers and onion in a balsamic glaze, sriracha mustard, vegan mayo-ketchup, and is on a vegan brioche bun.

I was really surprised because the sriracha mustard was actually hot, which is rare in Disney. If you don’t like spicy foods, or are unsure, I would ask for it on the side. I love heat so this was great for me. I could have used more mayo-ketchup, as I didn’t seem to notice it over the mustard.

The peppers and onions were a little messy, but as a whole this burger was great. This is now my second favorite Beyond Burger on property, next to the burger from Ale & Compass. I will absolutely be back for this.

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!

  1. I had an unfortunate experience here today (April 2019). I love Disney and promise I’m not a grouch, but want share this negative experience, so people know what they are getting into with the salad.

My vegan burger ordered off the menu was perfect and timely. But a vegetarian salad order for my mom went very bad. At first we thought is was so nice they advertised one the menu the med salad with chicken at a reduced price if you make it vegetarian. We ordered it with no trouble and waited and waited for 30 minutes. The worst part was that we say them making everyone’s salad to order, but never skipping the chicken step. We finally got the salad, but it was not what I expect of a Disney experience.

    1. They were from a shared fryer, but they may have a GF designated fryer. The management here was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.

  2. Had it twice so far. (We are Disney annual pass holders) Been a vegetarian gone vegan for 10 years. One of the best comfort food offerings I’ve had in awhile. Thanks Disney!
