  1. Had a great experience at mama melroses yesterday. They had the chef come and make a pasta dish with veggies and the rice dream ice cream was great

  2. Just to confirm that the meatless meatballs at ’50s Prime Time are no longer vegan. The CM at the podium–a vegan!–started recommending Trail’s End! The chef came out and said they could make me pasta primavera, but it didn’t seem worth staying just for that. Next time I’ll be back at Mama Melrose’s for the spaghetti marinara, which is always quite good (and not necessarily on the menu, btw–but they always make it for me).

  3. At the Sci-Fi Drive In during October 2016, and they offered me a vegan tofu dish with vegetables and rice!

  4. The Sci Fi dine-in was a great experience for us in May 2016, I saw nothing on the menu so inquired about vegan options and the waiter let me know that they had a tofu, jasmine rice, and vegetable dish with mango sauce. It was delicious! 🙂

  5. I just finished eating at Mama Melrose, and they have a new flatbread dough that is vegan. The margarita flatbread with no cheese was pretty good! The bread basket with a plate of olive oil and herbs was also vegan.

  6. Just ate at Hollywood and vine. Asked to speak to the chef for food allergies. After showing me the skin pickings on the bar, he offered to make my daughter and I a gluten free, vegan pasta dish with vegetables. Then he made us Gf vegan brownies with rice dream on top, and berries. It was positively wonderful! We left stuffed, as we should be for $50/person!

  7. Staring Rolls doesn’t have a veggie roll. The very nice woman informed me that they get a lot of questions about it but they don’t carry it. The one quick service place shaped like a boat (I don’t remember the name) has vegetable rolls with edamame salad and a cucumber salad, but comes with a chocolate cake that isn’t vegan and can’t be taken out because it’s pre made

  8. Prime time doesn’t have anything vegan now. They changed their meatless option to a lasagna full of cheese

      1. I asked for the meatballs last night, and they now have egg in them. I did get spaghetti with red sauce, though, and it was pretty flavorful, unlike my burger at Sci-Fi. Sci-Fi did make me a Tofutti Oreo shake, though.

  9. I went to Hollywood studios today and was looking for vegan ice cream. Scoops and the 50s diner do not carry vegan ice cream.

  10. Update from my trip Nov 9-15:
50’s prime time cafe does NOT have vegan meatballs anymore, that have egg. The milkshakes are also now unable veganized.

Definitely go to pizza planet! For my birthday they gave me vegan cookies instead of the cupcake. Everyone was super nice about my needs and even double checked to make sure the vegan cheese was in fact vegan. Not just that but it was SO GOOD! Some of the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had; they put time into it unlike how at some places it’s just thrown together.

      1. I have had breakfast there and they had all these options! The chef came out and asked what we wanted and made us waffles, potatoes, veggies and fresh fruit!

    1. The breakfast buffet had potatoes, oatmeal, and fruit. There wasn’t a whole lot vegan, so I had an omelette with no cheese as that is nondairy at least. I’m vegetarian with a dairy allergy, so eat mostly vegan, but this was one of the more difficult places for that. Overall I found Hollywood Studios very difficult as far as food.

  11. Sweet Spells on Sunset Boulevard sells three kinds of vegan chocolate bars under the brand Snacks with Character (by Enjoy Life). I had the rice milk chocolate, and it was yummy. We were there last week.

      1. I just ate there this past weekend and they had the meatless meatballs. I am still transitioning into becoming Vegan and have only been meat free for a month so I wasn’t sure what to ask for. But my server was awesome and he got the chef and thats what was offered to me and it was delicious! I am glad I found this website so now it will be a lot easier for me to know what to eat while I am at Disney which is quite often!

  12. At Mama Melrose’s, Chef Royal came out and discussed her meal with my vegan teenager. She was served delicious-and-vegan salad appetizer, pasta entree and frozen dessert. He also made sure that the bread at our table was vegan and served with olive oil. I have an aspartame sensitivity and the chef could not verify the sweetener used in one dessert (non-vegan), so we were brought an alternate. Our server Barbara was wonderful, and I’d have to rate it one of the most pleasant, considerate and relaxing dining experiences we had.

    1. I second that! Chef Royal is fantastic and our meals here have been among the best in the parks. A wonderful experience.

  13. Last time I was to Hollywood studios, the backlot grilled veggie sandwich is premade with cheese already on it. They told me that they could take it off but there was no way to get one without the cheese already on it since they are made in another kitchen/park.

      1. Backlot express can do the veggie sandwich without cheese and switch the bread as the ciabatta has cheese baked onto it. Just did it and it’s great! Pizza planet also has the vegan cheese.
