It’s about time that we do a specific post to our current favorite quick service spot in Disney World. We originally wrote about one of the options here when we did the passholder preview for Galaxy’s Edge back in August, so it’s time to do another one as things change over time.
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo is a quick service restaurant in Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. They are open all day long, however we don’t believe they have a vegan breakfast at this time (which doesn’t surprise me).
For lunch and dinner they have both a kids and adult vegan option readily available on the menu. We are mildly obsessed with the adult vegan option, which keeps changing it’s name. The current version of it is the Felucian Kefta and Hummus Garden Spread.
This dish features Impossible Meat mixed with quinoa and spices on a bed of hummus. It is topped with a cucumber and tomato relish and comes with three large pieces of pita bread. This dish is unique and incredibly flavorful. If you aren’t a faux meat fan, I would skip this though as the kefta balls are very meaty.
We have noticed over time that the amount of oil on the dish changes (if you avoid heavily oiled foods definitely mention you want yours without the oil drizzle), additionally the amount of hummus seems to fluctuate too. Sometimes we have enough for the pita and the kefta, other times just the kefta. That being said, we absolutely love this dish and highly recommend giving it a try.
For kids here there is an on menu kids option! The Peka Pasta Rings Youngling Meal is a large kids dish with vegan pasta topped with an Impossible meat sauce. The portion is pretty big, so an adult could absolutely enjoy this. It wasn’t super flavorful when we got it, but for a kid I don’t think they’d mind it. Bring your own nutritional yeast and kick it up a bit!
This is a spot that’s super easy to utilize mobile order, which I always recommend. Additionally they have actual silverware and not plastic here, which is a plus. RIP the sporks though.
