  1. The chili spiced fried tofu from Satu’li Canteen was so good! I got it with the rice and mixed whole grains base and chimichurri sauce. Make sure to get it with no yogurt boba balls, for obvious reasons. Was really excited about another easily veganized option in the parks for a good price.

  2. Pizzafari refused to add veggies on our pizza… 10 bucks for a frigging pita with daiya cheese! Plus they managed to screw up our order… Ended waiting 30 mins for 2 flatbread pizza a 5 years old could have made.

  3. Does anyone have vegan suggestions for the Rainforest Cafe? I’m going to Disney in June with my friend and her family (who aren’t vegan) and that’s one of the places they have reservations for. I would like to go with them, so if anyone knows any vegan options there, that would be awesome!

  4. Finally–finally!–I went to Tusker House. And only because the standby wait for Y&Y was so long and I was able to get a reservation on the fly for TH. Although, warning–even with a reservation, we waited at least 20 minutes to be seated. Also, another warning–it’s loud in TH. And, if you’re not into that kind of thing, another warning–it’s a character meal. But forget all that. Even if you hate waiting, hate noise, and hate character interaction–this is truly Vegan Paradise. If I could teleport myself there right now, I would.

I told our server I was vegan, and the chef came out and showed me around the buffet tables, pointing out everything that was vegan. It probably would’ve taken him less time to show me what *wasn’t* vegan! The meal was awesome. Everything was incredibly delicious. My husband and I both went back for seconds–this after loading our plates the first go-round–and the chef gave me a plate of vegan cookies (the only low point of the meal) for dessert.

Awesome. Wonderful. Delicious. Extravagant vegan meal. The only reason we didn’t go back is that we didn’t have time, but we will be back next trip for sure.

  5. Sitting at Yak & Yeti now and just spoke to the chef. The miso has a chicken stock base, sad day. We got the house salad, the vegetable lo main with tofu, and the sweet and sour tofu. All were delicious.

  6. Looks like the veggie stack at Katamu Grill has papaya sauce now instead of pesto! My wife is ordering as we speak I went with the falafael and subbed taziki with the mango chutney.

  7. Just back from a great WDW trip. Had the vegan pizza at Pizzafari. Amazingly easy to order and it was ready pretty quickly. Delish! Also had the veggie lo mein at Y&Y. It’s okay, but actually the vegan pizza was better although the ambience at Y&Y is lovely.

  8. I went to Kitamu grill today and they no longer do a chickpea salad. They have a veggie stack but the pesto sauce isn’t vegan and they cook everything on the same grill (with meat etc.) so if you’re strict, one to avoid.

I ended up at pizzafari – the first person I spoke to, knew nothing about the vegan cheeze. The second person was brilliant (they do actually have a vegan button on the till!) so I finally got to eat and it was delicious. It does take a bit longer but worth the wait.

  9. Just a heads up, went to Tuskar House buffet May 2016, while doing a “walk through” of what was vegan on the buffet, he informed me that the samosas are fried in the same oil as everything else.

  10. Yak and Yeti had lots of options when I asked! There are two salads you can leave the meat off, get the lettuce wraps with tofu (they were great), the veggie lo mein with tofu on rice or rice noodles (regular noodles have egg), the miso salmon but with tofu (also awesome) or the sweet and sour chicken but with tofu. Plus the restaurant is air conditioned 😀

  11. Spoke with the manager at Pizzafari. You can get a vegan cheese pizza, the anti pasta salad and broccoli are vegan as well. Also the garlic knots can be ordered without Parmesan cheese. All vegan!

    1. I was able to get a vegan veggie pizza today. I hope the existence of this item doesn’t depend on your cashier!

    2. I’ve been to pizzafari today and been told by a member of staff that’s there’s cheese in the dough of the garlic knots 🙁
      The pizza was good though!

  12. I ate lunch at Pizzafari today. They changed the vegan pizza to cheese pizza with Daiya cheese and pizza crust. The side the pizza comes with is a Antipasta salad which was not vegan and didn’t even look good. They didn’t offer anything to eat with the pizza besides a packet of grapes. I would not recommend eating there, not worth the money.

    1. Ate at Pizzafari this past weekend. The anti pasta salad does not look very good but the manager confirmed it is vegan. You can also get a side of steamed broccoli.

    2. Ask them for vegan cookies next time, they have some in the back. My ordering went great they were so sweet and attentive brought me out the ingredients list etc. I got the vegan pizza and they said 10-15 minutes… then almost 40 mins later we finally asked about where our food was and the man asked to see our card and then he comped our whole meal because it took so long. It was pretty good however they definitely did not melt the daiya enough. But they threw in that free cookie! Gluten free and dairy free and egg free I can’t recall the brand but it’s a popular vegan brand.

  13. Kitame grill were not helpful, they offered roasted veges with chickpeas and pesto, asked for no pesto and they said no. So I went to Mr Kamals, best decision, somosas and falafel are sensational.

  14. Restaurantosaurus has the Malibu veggie burger plus grapes and apples if you’d like some fructose!

  15. Yak and Yeti also has side dishes of stir fried vegetables and brown (or jasmine) rice which make a great full meal for under $10. I’ve not had the wok-fried green beans because it’s not dairy-free according to the wait staff when I’ve visited.

Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge has some of the best vegan food I’ve had anywhere.

    1. I’m at Yak & Yeti and I’ve been here before and I ordered the vegetable lo mein with tofu and subbed the noodles out for rice noodles but the waiter informed me (both times) the sauce that comes in the dish had seafood in it! Just keep an eye out if the waiter doesn’t tell you, make sure to ask for the organic sauce!

  16. I have ordered the crispy mahi mahi dish at yak and yeti subbed with huge tofu blocks several times before! A chef came out and made it for myself and my partner. It is awesome. I would highly suggest checking it out!

  17. Pizzafari has vegan pizza with Daiya cheese, you also get a side salad and a choice of fruit or an enjoy life cookie. Was pleasantly surprised at how helpful they were. The manager had me look at the ingredient list just to make sure it was ok for me to eat. It did take about 15-20 minutes but we were more than willing to wait

    1. We had the same pleasant experience, but a shorter wait, and they also had no problem just leaving off the Daiya for my daughter who doesn’t like it.

    2. Restaurantasaurus no longer has the veggie burger. We went yesterday and the black bean was the only option. And the “guacamole” on it was almost white from what I’m guessing is sour cream. I’d pass on this place in the future

      1. Ew, gross! Noted! Did you ask about the vegan burger as an option in the back? They typically carry the Malibu Burger and just swap it out. But no thanks on the guacamole.
