Vegetable Bowls at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe

This review reflects our experience from September 2016.

Have you ever found yourself spending the day at Magic Kingdom and trying to figure out a filling and cheap meal? When we first went vegan the only options we could find anywhere were veggie burgers. Soon everywhere in Magic Kingdom carried a veggie burger and we quickly grew tired of these meals on our trips. Suddenly, Disney changed their mind about veggie burgers and they started to replace these meals with other options. One of the first to change drastically was Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe who was a burger quick service. Pecos Bill’s completely changed their menu to be Mexican food, which meant no more burgers!

A Chick’n Sandwich at Liberty Inn

This post reflects our experience from September of 2016.

Do you ever have those days where you really just want french fries? No? Maybe it was just because I was pregnant at the time and really craving something salty and warm. While wandering World Showcase in Disney World’s Epcot we were searching for lunch. I was determined to get myself some french fries so I ran over to Liberty Inn.

Liberty Inn features American food in the widely diverse World Showcase in Epcot. This restaurant features meals you find pretty much all over Disney World, but for those not looking to try Moroccan food it can be a good option. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating here. One of the key features of Liberty Inn is that they offer a Gardein Chick’n Breast meal. The Freshly Grilled Vegetarian “Chick’n” Breast is on the menu and is vegan without a mayo based sauce on the breast. It includes a corn salsa, guacamole, lettuce and tomato. ¬†When we went I wasn’t looking to have this, if you’d like to see our review of it previously check it out here. Continue reading

Dinner at The Wave…of American Flavors

This review reflects our experience from March of 2017.

Paul and I have always wanted to dine at The Wave…of American Flavors, which is located on the lower level of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. On our most recent visit, we were lucky enough to stay at Bay Lake Tower, which is adjacent to the main Contemporary building. Since it was our first trip with an infant and we were super close by, it was the perfect opportunity to visit.

As I mentioned, The Wave is located on the lower level of the resort. There is a separate bar/lounge area near where you check in. The bar area is quite dark, but provided ample seating and would a fun place to meet friends for a drink. Continue reading

A Lunch at Tangierine Cafe

This review reflects our experience from September of 2016.

Finding a quick meal in Disney World is pretty easy, but it’s finding a fresh tasting and filling quick meal that can be a little harder. All throughout Walt Disney World there are tons of vegan quick service options, many contain french fries and some sort of vegetable patty. That’s not the case when you’re searching for a quick option in Epcot’s World Showcase. One of our absolute favorite quick service options is at Tangierine Cafe in the Morocco pavilion.

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe

This review reflects our experience from September 2016.

A few years ago we would joke about how Magic Kingdom was full of veggie burgers for both vegetarians and vegans. Over the years some of the quick service options have changed which have made it so that our options have expanded beyond the world of the Malibu Gardenburger while in Magic Kingdom. One of those more recent changes was over in Tomorrowland at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe.
