Casey’s Corner Vegan Dog!

It finally happened! Casey’s Corner in Magic Kingdom has finally put a vegan hotdog on the menu! We were so stoked about this we had to go try it the second we heard about it. We introduce the Plant-Based Slaw Dog from Casey’s Corner.

Plant-Based Slaw Dog

Casey’s Corner is located on Main Street in Magic Kingdom and has been loved by many for years. The live pianist who plays throughout the afternoon, the smell of french fries, the beautiful view of Cinderella’s Castle, among family memories for many. For years we have heard you all asking about when Casey’s would get a veggie dog and finally Disney heard it too!

The Plant-Based Slaw Dog is available on the menu and is vegan as-is! The dog features a Spicy Italian Beyond Sausage, Pickled Slaw, BBQ Aioli, and Peppers on a Potato Bun. The dog comes with either fries or apple slices. I asked about the fries and was told that they have their own fryer but they are cooked next to the corn dog nuggets so they can’t confirm cross-contamination at this time. It’s best to consider it a shared fryer if that’s an issue for you.

The dog was great! The sausage was cooked well, and is not fried like at Friar’s Nook. The slaw wasn’t super flavorful, but it helps with the heat of the spicy Italian sausage. I would have loved more BBQ Aioli, but as a whole we really enjoyed it and would absolutely get this dog again. It was a messy meal though, so be warned.

Inside of Plant-Based Slaw Dog

I saw there is sauerkraut and relish among other toppings inside Casey’s Corner. I’m sure you could get it without the toppings and build your own if that’s something you’re interested in. The cast members here were super friendly and very informed on veganism. Definitely stop in and get one of these next time you’re in Magic Kingdom!

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!

  1. Happy to report I had this in October of 2021 and it was SO delicious! I ended up having it twice during my trip it was so good. It is definitely messy, but I actually loved that. It made it feel indulgent! I hope it never goes away.

  2. Has anyone found a recipe of the Plant-Based Slaw Dog so we can make them at home? Thanks!
