The holidays are here at Walt Disney World and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has officially kicked off at Magic Kingdom. This is a special ticketed event with a party that starts at 7pm and runs until midnight. During this party you can find special food items, a holiday parade, stage show, and fireworks, and lots of cookies! Though the party starts at 7pm, you can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4pm with your party ticket.

This year we have two options to enjoy during the party at an additional cost. First is the return of the Mickey Whoopie Pie, which moved locations and got a makeover since last year. This whoopie pie is gluten free and plant based and features chocolate cake and a mint-marshmallow buttercream.

You can find this delicious holiday treat during non-party times at Liberty Square Market or after 7pm on party nights you can find it at Sleepy Hollow. The cake is moist and the mint flavor isn’t too overpowering. It is a perfect mix of mint chocolate if you’re a mint chocolate fan like I am.

There is a party exclusive option that requires a very slight modification offered at Aloha Isle. Here you can find the Pomegranate Yule Float. In order to make this vegan you just need to ask for it without the vanilla swirl. I checked the rest of the ingredients on this one and we’re good to go.

It was a perfect blend of sweet and not overly tart. The boba balls needed to be consumed via spoon as the straw they gave me was not wide enough for the popping pearls. This was a nice option and a great alternative if you don’t like mint.
When it comes to options that are included in your ticket price there are 6 different cookies to get. Each location is noted on the My Disney Experience app and all 6 of them carry a top 9 allergen friendly cookie option. The brands this year featured Home Free and Red Plate Foods. The Red Plate Foods cookies are soft and the Home Free are crunchy.

With each of these cookie options there are also drinks, however 3 of the 6 did not have a vegan drink. We were able to enjoy apple cider at two locations and a pomegranate cranberry punch at another.

We did also come across the return of the Snowman Pretzel and confirmed the ingredients and this is vegan as well. If you want to get this one you can’t get the allergy cookies here as it’s an either-or situation. The lemon cookies were where the Snowman Pretzel was so you can plan accordingly.

During the party not every quick service location is open, I was able to confirm that Pinocchio Village Haus closed at 9:30pm and that Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe is open the whole evening. I know Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe closed early, but I am unsure of the time, and Casey’s Corner remained open the whole evening. So if you plan on eating dinner during the party keep that in mind.

We had an absolute blast at the party this year. I was there when it was sold out and it didn’t feel overly crowded at all. We were able to enjoy many components of the party but not do everything offered. Be sure to have a game plan of what is most important to you and have a great time!

I just wanted to say Thank You! It’s basically Impossible to see what the options are until you step on board which is ok for adults but not when you have 2 kids!
