Vegetable Hash and Dessert from Rose & Crown Pub

A few months back Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room in Epcot added ANOTHER vegan option (that makes four now!) as well as a vegan dessert. When we heard we obviously went there to try it.

See our reviews of the vegan Bangers and Mash, Fish and Chips, and Tofu Curry Masala here.

Rose and Crown Pub

Rose & Crown Pub sits in the UK pavilion in Epcot along World Showcase Lagoon. It offers great views of IllumiNations if you’re there for dinner. Half of the restaurant is outside and the other half is inside, so be aware if you are there when it is super hot or Florida cold! They do have fans/heaters for those occasions.

The new vegan option is vegan as is on the menu (the only of the four to be on the menu). The Vegetable Hash is made up of seasonal vegetables, vegan sausage, a vegan cream sauce, and is topped with vegan cheese crust.

The dish reminds me of a casserole I used to make which made me really enjoy it. It wasn’t very big in comparison to the other vegan options they have here. The bowl in photos looks much bigger than it was in person. It was about an inch deep as well.

Inside the hash was zucchini, yellow squash, and vegan sausage. The crispy cheese crust was great too. I honestly loved this dish, I just wish the portion was a little bit larger. It was super creamy and just really comforting.

The new vegan dessert is available directly on the menu too! The Rice Pudding is vegan as is and features a coconut milk rice pudding and a berry compote topped with soy whip.

Coconut Rice Pudding

We felt the portion was quite large for a dessert and were glad that we shared it between the three of us. This was probably in my top 5 fave desserts I’ve had in Disney World. It wasn’t too sweet and a great consistency.

Rose & Crown continues to be our current favorite restaurant in Epcot. The fact that there are FOUR entrees to choose from, a veganizable appetizer (the coronation salad) and a vegan dessert is amazing. If you are going to Disney World soon and don’t have an Advanced Dining Reservation for here planned yet, you need to get on that! (That being said we usually get one day of or do a walk up for lunch).

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
