Geyser Point Bar & Grill

Some days you just want to relax at the resort instead of deal with the masses in the parks. For our sons birthday we stay-cationed over at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and were looking forward to their various dining options as well as hanging out by the pool for the afternoon. We decided to head to Geyser Point Bar & Grill for lunch. We had been there once before but only had drinks. During our previous visit here I had asked the waitress for vegan options and she told me they had a Beyond Burger available, just not on the menu. We were hoping this was still true when we went.

Geyser Point is located on Bay Lake between the DVC (Disney Vacation Club) Villas of Wilderness Lodge and the pool area. They have an area where you can order and take it to go to the pool or elsewhere, or you can request a table or sit at the bar. Both times we have been here we were able to get a table pretty quickly, but I can see it being a popular spot during prime dining hours. The tables and chairs are all very casual, much like a lounge, but they do have high chairs if needed, they are too tall for the table though.

After we were seated we spoke with our server and he too confirmed the option for the Beyond Burger and also mentioned their Portobello Salad being modified or even getting that as a sandwich instead. We ordered two Beyond Burgers and enjoyed the view of the lake.

Beyond Burger

Our food came out pretty quickly. Our burgers were cooked well and were accompanied by caramelized onions, tomato, and lettuce. The bun was the standard vegan brioche that pretty much everywhere carries.

The burger was very good. I would absolutely order this again here. It also came with (a few) waffle fries. Our server also brought a plate of some condiments for us for the burger and fries as well.

While the burger is not on the menu, it was very easy to swap and the servers seems knowledgeable about it. We also found out that Roaring Fork (the other Wilderness Lodge Quick Service) has a Beyond Burger available too, just not on the menu.

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
