New Ramen at Landscape of Flavors

There is a new entree over at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Let’s head over to Landscape of Flavors and check out the new Ramen Noodle Bowl with “Meatballs”.

This new entree replaced the previous Impossible Meatloaf, leaving Disney’s Pop Century Resort as the only resort still offering that dish. The new Ramen Noodle Bowl with “Meatballs” features a miso broth, fresh vegetables, ramen noodles, and Impossible meatballs. It is not listed in the Plant-based Section on the digital menu nor is it noted as being plant-based online or via mobile ordering, but rest assured it is plant-based and marked as such on the physical menu.

The bowl portion was quite large and came very hot. The broth had a nice light miso flavoring to it and the vegetables had a nice texture and variety. I found corn, carrot, bok choy, mushrooms, bamboo, green onions, peppers, edamame, and onion. The noodles had a nice bite and there was plenty of them. They were cooked perfectly.

Now to the meatballs… Well, they weren’t a win for me. I’d much rather have tofu in this bowl. The meatballs were tiny and bite size, which was appreciated for using chopsticks. There were lots of them too. However, they were so incredibly dry and very firm. They had no seasoning and were just hard to eat dry chunks. I expected them to be a bit more flavorful given the context and them being in broth, but man they were rough to eat.

I did enjoy the other components of the ramen, I would probably just order it without the meatballs if I was staying here. They do also still have the Korean-Style Impossible Burger and the Asian Noodle Salad we found at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort. So fortunately this isn’t the only option. If you try it let me know if you felt the meatballs were dry too or if we just got a bad batch!

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
