Vegan Options at Doc Sugrue‘s Desert Kabab House

If you‘re planning a visit to Universal Orlando Resort you will likely be visiting Islands of Adventure. Here you can find loads of vegan options. This park has lands including Jurassic Park. Hogsmeade Village, Suess Landing and more. But one of the more unique areas is over in The Lost Continent. I recently tried one of their newer options and was really pleased with it.

Doc Sugrue‘s Desert Kabab House is a quick service location near the Hogwarts Express. They have various forms of kababs and two vegan options available. There unfortunately isn‘t a ton of seating over here though, so be warned.

The newest option here is the Vegan Kabab Greek Salad. This salad comes with lettuce, tomato, Kalamata olives, cucumbers, and a side of pita. The Vegan Kabab is actually vegan meatballs and comes with a Morroccan Chermoula on it. When ordering it specify you want it vegan so you can get the vegan feta on it as well.

The salad was actually really great. The vegetables tasted fresh and the flavors were delicious. I love a Greek salad and honestly this delivered. The meatballs were very dry, which typically is the case here, but I really didn‘t mind since I loved the salad so much. This salad will absolutely be a staple for me when visiting the parks in the summer.

The other vegan option here is the Vegan Meatball Kabab. This one comes with same Morroccan Chermoula, pita bread, ajvar sauce, carmelized onions, and vegan feta. When I had this before I did enjoy it overall, but the meatballs were very dry.

This a great spot to grab a meal, especially if you‘re the only vegan with a group. I definitely recommend the salad over the Kabab sandwich, but both are tasty options and a different vegan protein than a burger like everywhere else!

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
