It is with a heavy heart that I tell you all that my favorite vegan burger in Orlando is gone. It’s actually been gone for almost two years, however, whenever we tried to go try this new one they were out of them and then we kept hearing from our followers how bad it was, so we put off going back. But it has finally happened, we went back to our once beloved House of Blues at Disney Springs and tried what replaced the best burger I’d ever had.

House of Blues is a concert hall with a full service restaurant next to it. You can often get walk ups during weekdays, but evenings and weekends I suggest having a reservation if you plan to go here. However, after reading this you, you may have no plans to go here. I tried to go in with an open mind as I hadn’t seen anything talking about it in so long that I figured it had to have improved. So alas, we tried the (new to us) Everything Legendary Burger.

The Everything Legendary Burger is vegan as is and features an Everything Legendary patty topped with vegan cheese, a smoked aioli, avocado salsa, greens, and tomato. They changed the toppings from the previous burger when they changed the patty.

I opted for a single patty and Corey went for the double. One of the first things I noticed with his double is that he only got one slice of cheese. The previous Impossible version would have a slice on each patty which would help them melt.

The patty itself was not great. It tasted similar to Tofurky Bologna and then had a texture more similar to a classic Boca burger patty. It took us back about a decade in terms of where vegan meats have come. My cheese was not melted at all, which isn’t the worst thing, but typically House of Blues knew how to melt vegan cheese. The guacamole on it was fine, but the warm spring greens were not doing it for me.

The only redeeming thing with this burger was the aioli which had a nice little kick to it. But it was hard to enjoy when my bun completely crumbled apart. The flavors were just not it for us, and Corey didn’t even finish his either.

I really was hoping this burger had improved since it came out nearly two years ago, but I couldn’t eat it. I am so sad that a great burger was replaced with such a mediocre option. I hope some day we can have our Impossible Burger back, but until then, try this if you dare.
