Vegan Snickerdoodle from the Summer House on the Lake Cookie Bar!

The much anticipated Summer House on the Lake opened up this winter, and with it they opened a cookie bar as well. This cookie bar has tons of (non vegan) cookies, coffee beverages, and other non-alcoholic drinks. They also have one single vegan cookie, the Vegan Snickerdoodle! You can get this cookie while dining in the restaurant as well.

The cookie bar opens when the restaurant does and you can just head straight in to the cookie bar and place your order. They also offer an Annual Passholder discount which was a surprise for me. To know when it opens I recommend checking the app.

The cookie is massive. When I initially felt it through the bag it seemed kind of hard, but as I ate I realized it was not at all. The edge had a nice crunch to it but the cookie itself was very soft. There was a nice coating of cinnamon sugar on it as well. I had planned on eating some and taking it home for Corey to try, but I ended up eating the whole thing and had to go grab him one for himself. I will not be sharing this cookie upon future purchases, it is that good.

I also tried the Strawberry Lemonade while I was there. It was a little on the sweet side, though that may have been due to drinking it while eating a sugar covered cookie, but it was very refreshing. They have lots of coffee options as well. I didn’t ask what non-dairy milks they had, since I was on a mission for a cookie, but I did see two drinks on their menu contained both almond and oat milk.

I do plan to eventually check out the actual restaurant to see what we can have, there is only one labeled vegan option and it’s only at brunch. But I know my friend Princess from Princess and the Bear was able to have lots of things modified when they went, I just wish they had at least something on the menu vegan other than a cookie.

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
