A few years ago we would joke about how Magic Kingdom was full of veggie burgers for both vegetarians and vegans. Over the years some of the quick service options have changed which have made it so that our options have expanded beyond the world of the Malibu Gardenburger while in Magic Kingdom. One of those more recent changes was over in Tomorrowland at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe.
This week we have a guest post from Tom about his experience at Flying Fish during a trip in September 2016, thanks Tom!
Fondest greetings to you all. My name is Tom, and this will be my first contribution to this site. Before getting to business, I just wanted to take a minute to express my gratitude to everyone that is taking time to read this, and to the individuals who took time out of their day to look at the content I was posting and asked me to write this piece. Thank you so much.
On September 16th my wife and I sat down to an amazing dinner at the Flying Fish restaurant. Flying Fish is a signature restaurant that is located at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort. In the pictures, hopefully you’ll be able to see aesthetics of the room that we were in, because it was beautiful. The restaurant just went through renovations and it looks amazing. With the looks inside, please note that they also have a dress code there, we didn’t realize this a few years back when we dined there for the first time. They won’t turn you away, but there is a backroom that they may sit you in that is still wonderful, but makes one feel slightly alienated when placed there. Although, some people, myself included may enjoy this privacy which is difficult to achieve anywhere on the Disney property. Continue reading →

Symphony in the Stars, otherwise known as the “Star Wars Fireworks Show”, is a new nighttime spectacular at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The show itself features music and sound clips from the Star Wars movie series, timed to amazing pyrotechnics and fireworks that are shot off from behind The Great Movie Ride. Recently, Hollywood Studios began offering a special dessert party with a private viewing area and speciality adult beverages for $69.00 per adult. The party promised “out-of-this-world selection of desserts and specialty drinks—including alcoholic beverage options” as well as a souvenir stein and special viewing area.

If you’ve been keeping up with our blog over the years then you probably know one of our favorite restaurants is Tokyo Dining. There are several reasons for our love of this restaurant, it’s in World Showcase, it’s a quick table service, we can usually book it same day (we go during off season), it’s cheap and it’s delicious! Tokyo Dining shares a building with Teppan Edo in the Japan pavilion in Epcot. It offers a great view of World Showcase Lagoon and even has a great view for IllumiNations.
