It’s no secret that we are obsessed with the Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen in Disney’s Magic Kingdom. We have eaten and reviewed pretty much all of the vegan options here. We finally tried the plant-based dessert at this table service restaurant, and I have to say, it delivered.
The on the menu vegan dessert here is the Panna-Connie’s Congo Lime Delight. This dessert features a lime “panna cotta”, mango-lime sorbet, crumbled brazil nut cookie, and fresh fruit. Now I have to admit, I was very apprehensive about trying this after my only other panna cotta experience being from Whispering Canyon Cafe and it being gelatinous and nearly inedible. We didn’t know if that was how panna cotta is supposed to be, or just that one was weird.

This panna cotta was creamy and light. It had just the right amount of tartness with the lime. I could have enjoyed an entire bowl of this on my own. I hope this is what panna cotta is supposed to be.
The mango-lime sorbet was also very good, but a bit too much lime with a scoop of them together. The fresh fruit and brazil nut cookie didn’t add much of anything to the dish. There was also a surprise in it with some jalapeño. I can absolutely get behind jalapeño in a dessert, I am here for this.

This dessert is now a must get for us when we go to Skipper Canteen. I don’t think I would feel like our meal is complete without it. If you are a fan of tart, I absolutely recommend you try this. If not, just get some sorbet, it’s also delicious!
