Liberty Inn Beyond Burger [closed location]

If you’re looking for a quick lunch in Epcot I recommend stopping in Liberty Inn in the America pavilion. While there are other great quick service options around World Showcase (like the Vegetable Platter in Morocco), sometimes it’s nice to have an option if you’re with picky eaters or just want something easy.

At Liberty Inn you will find the Grilled Vegetable Burger, which has been on the menu for a few years now. This was the first location in Disney World to carry a Beyond Burger, which makes the name of this a little misleading if you’re expecting a veggie burger.

When this first came out the whole thing was vegan as is. The burger comes with a bbq sauce and fried onions. Unfortunately about a year ago they changed the bun and it now contains honey. Ever since then we hadn’t been back to eat it until recently. When I checked about the bun this time I saw it still contained honey so I ordered it with lettuce instead of the bun.

My burger came out super quick. I was a little hesitant with the lettuce bun because I love bread. I was actually very surprised at how much I liked it. The fried onions were still super crispy, I think because of not being trapped by a hot bun, which made the texture a good mix. The bbq sauce is a nice tangy flavor which compliments the whole thing. I will absolutely be back here for this again because it was a light and filling meal.

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
