Vegetable Bowls at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe

Have you ever found yourself spending the day at Magic Kingdom and trying to figure out a filling and cheap meal? When we first went vegan the only options we could find anywhere were veggie burgers. Soon everywhere in Magic Kingdom carried a veggie burger and we quickly grew tired of these meals on our trips. Suddenly, Disney changed their mind about veggie burgers and they started to replace these meals with other options. One of the first to change drastically was Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe who was a burger quick service. Pecos Bill’s completely changed their menu to be Mexican food, which meant no more burgers!

A New Menu at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe

This review reflects our experience in October of 2015.

Dining as a vegan in Disney’s Magic Kingdom can sometimes be hard. Previously our only options for quick service was veggie burgers and if you’re lucky you can get the quinoa from Be Our Guest. In October 2015 Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe in Frontierland revamped their menu and removed the veggie burger!

Pecos Bill’s new menu features more of a tex mex style and now has a Roasted Vegetable Rice Bowl. The vegetable bowl is also available on the kids menu! The new item includes roasted zucchini, squash, black beans and a cilantro rice. The cilantro rice¬†is not vegan as it contains cheese. You can request plain white rice with your bowl instead to make it vegan.¬† Continue reading
