Halloween Treats at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar in Disney Springs

Over at Disney Springs, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar has received an overlay for the Halloween season! This bar has previously done this for Christmas so I was very excited to see what they could do for Halloween.

With the overlay they also add in new food and beverage items on a seperate menu. Unfortunately there aren’t any vegan as is items on the menu, but there is one we can get modified to be vegan.

Meet the Phantom Dumplings. These have the ability to swap the animal meatballs with Impossible Meatballs instead. The come topped with rice paper and you get to enjoy them with a teriyaki dipping sauce.

A wooden platter displays six Phantom Dumplings on skewers, each wrapped in white rice paper, resembling tiny ghosts.

I really enjoyed these. The sauce was a nice sweet teriyaki with soy flavor as well. The rice paper added a fun texture while biting into the meatballs as they were like a dumpling but also not with the extra paper. The flavor of the meatballs with the teriyaki was very nice, they paired together much better than I anticipated.

A plate of meatball pops dressed as ghosts, with rice paper wrapping and small eyes, presented on a wooden base.

They did remove the Mine Car Meatballs from the regular menu here, so if you’re looking for a vegan meatball this is how you will be getting it from now on. I look forward to seeing what they do for Christmas this year.

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
