Vegan Experience at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025

It’s officially Halloween season at Walt Disney World Resort, which means it’s time for Magic Kingdom to transform into Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This party is an extra ticketed event that happens on select nights from August 15th to October 31st. You can view all the party dates below:

  • August – 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26 and 29
  • September – 2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28 and 30

On the party days Magic Kingdom closes to daytime guests at 6pm. If you have a party ticket you can enter the park as early as 4pm and obtain your wristband. You can move freely about the park if you want, or head to meet Jack & Sally upon arrival. Mickey & Minnie do not start meeting until 7, when the party truly begins.

Once you enter you will be led through an alternative path down bypassing Main Street USA, this is only for guests who enter early. In this area you can find either Mother Gothel or Cruella DeVille. You will also get your party bags here. You need to ask for the allergy friendly bag, which is a teal bag. I recommend also grabbing the regular bag too as a nice little souvenir!

Once the party begins at 7 you can start trick or treating or meeting characters. With the allergy bag you will obtain tokens. These tokens can be exchanged at one of the two noted locations on the map; Liberty Square Ticket Office in Liberty Square or Chamber of Commerce near the park entrance. The tokens are not exchanged on a one to one ratio, so you can show up with as little or as many as you want.

Once you enter you can see the list of the allergy friendly options. This year we have 10 vegan options! I opted to load my bag on the way out so I wasn’t carrying them around all evening, but when you choose to get your candy is totally up to you. If you want to munch on your candy grab some early then stop back later for some more on the way out.

During the season there is one Plant-based option for the Halloween food items. You can find the Dole Whip Mango and Chamoy Float at Aloha Isle. This is available all day and not just during the parties.

This float features Dole Whip Mango with pineapple juice topped with chamoy and tajin. It was a tasty sweet and salty option. It was a nice cool treat on a very hot evening, but I could not finish it all as it was too sweet for me.

During the party you can also catch the Mickey’s Boo-To-You Parade, Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular at the castle, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show, the Cadaver Dans, Hitchiking Ghosts, and Rusty Cutlass pirate band in Adventureland. Most of the rides and attractions are open as well, so you really can make this a full night of fun and sweets.

I highly recommend this event if you want to experience Magic Kingdom in it’s not-so-spooky glory. Be sure to try those Caramel Cups from Free2b, they were SO GOOD.

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
