There has been a change up for the vegan cookie at Summer House on the Lake, as in it happened back in November of 2024 but I am just now writing about it (my bad!). This is a sit down restaurant at Disney Springs that offers a walk up Cookie Bar located next to the main entrance. Not only do they have cookies, they also have some pretty great coffee and non-caffeinated beverages to enjoy.
The vegan snickerdoodle has been replaced with a Gluten Free and Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie. The previous gluten free option was this same cookie, but now they have made it vegan as well to have both accommodations offered in one cookie. While I do find this annoying at times, I am not too mad about this because this cookie is still very good. I did really like the snickerdoodle though, so I wish we could have both.
The cookie often has a nice crunchy edge to it and is soft in the middle, which is my favorite bake of cookie. It does get a bit of that gluten free flour tasting occasionally, but overall it’s a pretty solid cookie. I do love the bit of salt on it so it has that salty sweet effect going on. I have grabbed this one a few times since they started offering it and enjoy it each time. It pairs perfectly with my French Vanilla Iced Latte (with oat milk of course!).
