If you’re planning a visit to EPCOT I have a recommendation for you and I am so sorry it took me over 10 years to give this one another try. Recently we went to Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria in the Italy pavilion to finally give it another shot and try the off menu vegan cheese pizza. I apologize on us sleeping on this option, because it may be one of my favorite things now.

Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria is not Disney owned and will absolutely require an advanced dining reservation to eat here. This restaurant features three large wood fire pizza ovens and a large open dining room. Since we were here for pizza we also wanted to see what else there was for us to try so we got two starters as well.

First up was the Homemade Focaccia which is vegan as is. This bread comes with olive oil and marinara for dipping. This came with plenty of slices of focaccia and was served warm.

We really enjoyed this starter. I am also a sucker for bread so I was just happy eating this. The focaccia had a light salting to it and other herbs we couldn’t pin point. The marinara was very simple but also so delicious. I would absolutely enjoy this appetizer again.
In addition to the bread we could also enjoy the House Salad, which was also vegan as is. The salad does require at least two people to order it and comes in a family style shared serving bowl.

The salad was filled with mixed greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, pepperocino peppers, pappadew peppers, and was tossed with a balsamic vinaigrette. It was a very basic yet fresh salad. It was a perfect starter before pizza and I recommend this if you have someone to share it with.
Off menu you can order a Vegan Margherita Pizza. This pizza comes loaded with Daiya vegan cheese, tomato sauce, and basil. We did have the option to add toppings but just wanted to keep it as is for this visit.

The pizza dough was super thin and easy to bite through. The crust had a really nice bite and we especially liked the more crispy sides. The cheese was plentiful and very gooey, but not in a bad way. I really loved the fresh flavor of the basil and the simplicity of the tomato sauce. Each bite was better than the last and I savored each one. We opted for the individual size, which is a 12″ pizza. We were charged $23 for it, which is only $2 more than the non-vegan one.

While we didn’t get it, I did ask about dessert. Our only option here is a Strawberry Sorbetti. We were so full and didn’t care enough to get it, but given how delicious everything else was, I imagine this is as good.
If you’re looking for somewhere new to try, I highly recommend giving Via Napoli a visit! Be sure to make a reservation as this one is really hard to get walk ups to. Unfortunately we can not get vegan pizza from the side window.
