What’s Vegan at the new GEO-82 lounge in EPCOT

Have you heard the news about the new 21 and up only lounge in EPCOT? You can find GEO-82, that new lounge, on the backside of Spaceship Earth. To enter the lounge you need to be in the exit area of the attraction on the side that leads out towards The Seas with Nemo (NOT Guardians side). This lounge offers stunning views out toward World Showcase and will be an absolute hot spot for firework viewing. This lounge currently requires reservations for entry and are not taking walk ups at all.

If you plan on spending some time here they do have an extensive drink menu featuring handcrafted cocktails and mocktails. During my visit I opted to try one of the Non-Alcoholic options called A Walk Through the Garden. My drink was a perfect refresher for a hot day and tasted like a basil lemonade. They had some fun alcoholic options too, like one that had a whole onion in it as the garnish!

For food here there is one plant-based option and none of the others can be modified to be vegan. The Cannellini Hummus featured radish, fresno peppers, pumpkin seed pistou, and pappadam for dipping.

Plate of Cannellini Hummus topped with radish slices, fresh herbs, and accompanied by pappadam crisps, with a refreshing drink in the background.

The hummus was delicious and had a thick creamy consistency. The peppers added a little heat in those bites and the radish and other micro greens add a nice little bite to it. The only downside was that the pappadam bread was very fragile and broke while trying to eat it. It kept crumbling even as I tried to break it into smaller pieces to dip. They did provide spoons with it and spooning it onto the pappadum was the correct way to handle it rather than scooping.

Since it was opening week when we went I was gifted one of the GEO-82 Rocks Glasses you can purchase. This was a really neat surprise and I’m so happy to have gotten one!

This is a really beautiful new place to visit in EPCOT. As mentioned before it is only for those 21 and over, so unfortunately you can not plan a visit here with your kids at all (unless they’re over 21!). The hummus was a delight and I will absolutely come back here to enjoy that again.

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
