The time has finally come! The Allergy Friendly Cupcake that is offered at all of the value resorts and all of the moderate resorts (except Coronado Springs) has changed the recipe! No longer are we stuck with the worlds driest and most obviously gluten free cupcake.

We are saying goodbye (and see you never!!) to the Namaste Chocolate Cake mix with banana as an egg replacer and hello to Bob’s Red Mill Vanilla Cake Mix with vegan egg replacer! This is the new seasonal vanilla cupcake.

The current flavor for this cupcake is Strawberry Lemonade, which is one of my favorite flavor combos. The cake itself was very moist and soft. It was not one that makes you go “this is gluten free”. The frosting is where the strawberry lemonade flavor is and you get plenty of it with this cake.

I highly recommend eating this with a fork since it’s so tall in the paper wrapper. That way you can distribute the appropriate amount of frosting to cake. I highly recommend you get this and I can not wait to see what fun flavors they come out with later this year, but please keep strawberry lemonade for the whole summer.

Thanks so much for this review. Been to Disney many times and love your reviews. I have to mention I eat the allergy cupcake at least twice a trip!!! Not the best cupcake I have ever had the chocolate/ banana mix but love the fact that I get get a vegan cupcake:). Love to grab one for breakfast because hey, it’s vacation!! I have actually written to Disney several times about why they can’t have these cupcakes in the parks? At least at one location? Would be nice for the times we are offsite and visit. Anyway, I’m back August 18th. Do you know when the cupcake schedule changes? I’m going to be bummed if I miss this cupcake because they usually start Halloween cupcake. I was down St. Patricks Day weekend and I started on Snowflake cupcake and ended the trip with a Spring fling cupcake:). Hope I will get to try two different cupcakes the week of August 18th!!! Fingers crossed!
