As I have been slowly working my way around Walt Disney World trying all the plant-based options I can, I have come in contact with some mediocre options and some superior ones. One I recently tried I truly loved and have to share it with you.

Over at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort you can find two quick service locations; Centertown Market and Spyglass Grill. Centertown Market is found just off the lobby centrally located in this resort with indoor and outdoor seating, Spyglass Grill is out in the Trinidad section, which is close to the Disney Skyliner and only offers outdoor seating. Both of these restaurants serve these Hearty Pinto Bean Tacos. Spyglass Grill even has a kids option of them!

The Hearty Pinto Bean Tacos are filled with slow cooked pinto beans, cabbage slaw, cilantro-lime “sour cream” and a pineapple salsa. These tacos also come with a cilantro rice as a side. All of this is just $9.99!

You get three tacos that are absolutely stuffed with filling. The beans were like a refried bean, which I enjoyed and they didn’t fall out of the taco as I was eating it. I really loved the crunch from the slaw and the tanginess of the sour cream. The pineapple salsa added a nice sweetness to it and I just truly overall loved these from texture to taste.

The rice was a hearty scoop and had a nice light cilantro flavor. If I wasn’t so full from my tacos I probably would have eaten all of that scoop. It would be great in a bowl with these toppings, sans tortilla.
So if you’re looking for an option that doesn’t involve any fake meats, I recommend trying these! Disney’s Caribbean Beach is just a quick skyliner ride from EPCOT or Hollywood Studios. If you aren’t into these, you should try the Korean Style Burger they have here too. Enjoy!

Hi! Thank you for you site! Its a lifesaver for my family. Were the tortillas corn or wheat?
Hi! They were wheat tortillas.
