Impostor Burger and Monumental Pretzel from The Edison

Disney Springs is a great place to spend your time while visiting Walt Disney World. Whether it’s on arrival day, a mid week break from the parks, or if you have a late departure, there is plenty of shopping and dining to keep you entertained and full.

When choosing dining here it may be a little overwhelming with there being so many restaurants to choose from. We’ve been slowly working our way through them and made our way back to The Edison since they recently had a menu update.

The Edison is a really fun restaurant that features steampunk-themed decor with a bit of prohibition era vibes. They are open for lunch and dinner and have special events in the evenings, which I recommend taking note of if you’re a late dinner eater.

Menu Options August 2024

To start here we can enjoy the Monumental Pretzel with plain yellow mustard instead of the pimento cheese or honey mustard. Both of those dips contain egg (and dairy), but the pretzel itself has a brushing of olive oil for the salt to stick. If your sever questions the egg allergy notation on their reference cards, it’s due to the dips, but have them double check to be sure!

This is definitely big enough to share! The pretzel was huge and had so much salt on it. There was a little bit of our pretzel that was too hard to eat, but otherwise it was very soft. It was on the denser side for pretzels, which made for lots of chewing. But it was enjoyable and if you’re just here for the vibes and drinks this would be a good option to munch on.

For an entree here we had the Impostor Burger. This is actually a double patty Impossible Burger with vegan cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickle on a kaiser roll.

The menu doesn’t state that this is a double burger, so that is a pleasant surprise. The cook of this burger was perfect and the patties had been seasoned with salt and pepper. The cheese was melted in the center of the patty but not the edges. The kaiser roll was soft and held the burger and toppings well.

This burger was very similar to what the House of Blues burger used to be. It was just missing a sauce, otherwise I would say it was pretty spot on. The whole burger was delicious and I will be back for this one.

The fries were heavily seasoned and very crispy. These fries were really tasty and they were some big cuts too. I appreciate the seasoning on them and it was a large portion. This whole meal was really good. I will be back for this burger again as I will likely now crave it like I used to with the HOB one. If you are a fan of tasty vegan burgers, add this one to your list!

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
