If you’re looking for take a more relaxed approach to your Walt Disney World vacation you may want to enjoy some of the lounges around property. One of my favorite to visit is Nomad Lounge at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

This lounge is connected to Tiffins and can be found near the bridge to Pandora from Discovery Island. There is great outdoor seating along the water that is covered with plenty of fans, and an indoor seating area with a bar, tables, and couches.
On the menu at Nomad Lounge you will find two vegan as is option, however there are a few you can modify to enjoy as well. So let’s start with the vegan as is ones!

The Korean Barbecue Mushroom Bao Buns are the same that are offered as an appetizer at Tiffins. These bao buns are incredibly soft and fluffy to bite into. I really enjoyed these this time, whereas my previous experience I wasn’t a fan due to texture. The mushrooms were way less spongey this time and it didn’t ruin it all for me.

Just like before the flavors of this are absolutely incredible. The sauce that is on the mushrooms has a nice sweet flavor with the cucumbers offering more of a tang to it. Each bite offers all the flavors and you can pinpoint each one while you’re eating it. I really enjoyed these this time.
On the kids menu, both here and Tiffins, you will find the new Korean Impossible Meatballs. This option comes with two sides typically, but we asked to get it on its own. The meatballs had a similar flavor as the Impossible Gatsby and Impossible Kofta offered at two other Animal Kingdom establishments. The sauce was the same as the mushrooms and it was really enjoyable. I think this is a much better option than the previous Bunny Chow they had for kids.

Since they have a new fun vegan protein with the meatballs, we asked if we could get the Tuna Poke Bowl without tuna and get the Korean Impossible Meatballs instead. We were able to do that and it was such a great addition to this!

The Poke Bowl comes with white rice, red cabbage kimchi, edamame, and carrots. We ended up asking for some extra sauce for the meatballs and added that to the bowl as well. The cabbage was spicy, but if you mix it all up it is likely less intense, but my lips were burning just eating that! This is a perfect lighter meal, I will absolutely get this one again.

The last vegan modified option is Tiffins Bread Service. This bread service is vegan if you get it without the Brazilian Cheese Bread. We were also told that the Poppadom is cooked in a shared fryer, so if you avoid those then just go with the Thai Curry Coconut Milk Bread as your only bread.

The Thai Curry Coconut Milk Bread was warm, soft, and absolutely delicious. It was best paired with the coconut-curry sauce, but it was also good with the guava sauce. The poppadom was a bit heavy on the salt, but it was good with the ginger-pear chutney. The bread service here isn’t my favorite thing, but if you want a good shareable snack while enjoying a beverage then this is a good one for that.

So if a little Animal Kingdom rest is in order during your next trip, I highly recommend taking a break and enjoying the Nomad Lounge! This does not require a reservation, however, they utilize a first come first served walk up option which can be done in person or on the My Disney Experience app.
