With Earth Day falling in April, Disney’s Animal Kingdom likes to celebrate Earth Month at the park. During this month they have special food and drink items throughout the park, and one of those happens to be vegan!
At Terra Treats, which is a stand across from Creature Comforts, you can find the Roasted Mushroom and Leek Pizza. This pizza also includes Impossible Meatballs and truffle oil. This option is available until April 30th. They also are only open from 11am to 2:30pm, so plan accordingly!!
The pizza is probably one of the best things I’ve eaten at a Disney Park ever. I am so sad this only exists this month. The size is a good snackable size and it tasted like a truffle garlic bread. The crust was light and fluffy and offered a nice bite to it.
The cheese was very melty, the roasted mushrooms had a great texture and the braised leeks added a nice flavor to it. The amount of truffle oil on it was the perfect amount. My slice had one of the Impossible Meatballs, but that was totally fine with me as I am more of a mushroom pizza person.
If you have a trip planned to Walt Disney World this month I HIGHLY recommend you give this pizza a try if these toppings are something you’d enjoy. They open at 11am, so get there at open for a fresh slice!
