2016 has come to an end, we want to thank you all for following along with us for another year! As this year comes to an end, it means it’s time for Vegan Disney World’s favorite dishes of 2016. So let’s take a quick trip into our favorite things we ate this year.
This review reflects our experience from September 2016.
Breakfast can be really hit or miss for vegans in Disney World. We all pretty much have a set meal we eat at home, so when we’re traveling it may be a bit more difficult to satisfy our morning meal. On our recent trip I was 6 months pregnant, which meant I was hungry all the time. Because of this, we opted to do a few more breakfasts than usual. One I hadn’t been to in several years was at Disney’s Beach Club. Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast is held daily at Cape May Cafe and includes Minnie, Goofy and Donald.
People often ask about the various buffets in Walt Disney World. There are a ton of different styles of buffets on property from character meals, different food offerings and different meal times. One of our absolute favorite buffets in Disney World is Tusker House in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Tusker House is a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All three meals are a character meal featuring Donald, Daisy, Mickey and Goofy; all of which are dressed in their safari outfits. We often go for lunch or dinner here for various reasons, which we will share for why we feel that Tusker House is the best buffet in Disney World. Continue reading →

When traveling through World Showcase in Epcot you may be checking out the many restaurants. One of the most unsuspecting vegan friendly restaurants happens to be Biergarten in the Germany Pavilion. Biergarten Restaurant features an incredible theme that makes you feel like you’re sitting in a biergarten under the German night sky. We recently went for lunch and were told a few updates about the buffet from our previous visit.
When we were seated we told our waiter we’d need to speak with a chef. After a few minutes a chef came out and spoke with us about what our vegan options were. The chef informed us that the rice contains chicken broth, but everything else we had eaten previously was still vegan. He offered to make us vegan rice but we declined. Continue reading →
Friend of the blog, Sara, recently went to Disney World, here is her review about ‘Ohana breakfast!
Our review of our visit in December 2015:
‘Ohana is located at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. We took the bus from our resort to the Magic Kingdom and then rode a boat to the Polynesian. It was a beautiful day and the boat ride was fast and fun!
We were a bit worried about what we could eat since the menu advertised consists of: scrambled eggs, Island-style fried potatoes, Hawaiian pork sausages, smoked bacon and a variety of fresh fruits and breads – pretty much nothing we can eat. But we were hopeful and on a mission to meet Stitch!
