Delicious Fried Macaroni and “Cheese” Bites, Vegan Burger, and more

Whether staying at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge or just visiting I recommend eating at Geyser Point. This restaurant is located outside on the water with beautiful views and you can even catch the Electrical Water Pageant in the evenings from here. This restaurant does not take advanced dining reservations and requires walk up via the app or in person only.

Geyser Point opens for lunch and stays open late into the evening. So whether you’re here for a light snack, lunch, or dinner, there is something for you to enjoy. We recently went for lunch and left feeling great about what all we had enjoyed.

For starters here there are two options; Edamame and Macaroni & “Cheese” Bites. I have tried the mac and cheese bites in the past and didn’t love them, but I was willing to give them another try.

Crispy macaroni and cheese bites served in a bowl with tomato sauce and garnished with microgreens.

The Macaroni & “Cheese” Bites have greatly improved since my last visit. Previously they were triangular and not “cheezy” at all. You now get four fried bites to enjoy with a tomato sauce.

My mac and cheese bites were actually cheesy this time and I really enjoyed them. The breading had a great crunch to them and I liked the flavor combination with the tomato sauce. I am a glutton for vegan mac and cheese and these past my very picky test. I would absolutely get these again after this experience.

The Edamame was very enjoyable and a huge portion. It was topped with loads the chili salt and had a nice kick because of it. I really loved that the salt was in huge chunks too. I’m sure you could ask for them plain if you aren’t a spice person, but if you are you will like these! This is a great little bar snack.

For a main entree here we enjoyed the Vegetable Burger with “Cheese”. This burger is very similar to the one at Roaring Fork, the quick service here. It features a Beyond Burger topped with vegan pepper jack cheese, slaw, lettuce, and tomato on a vegan brioche bun.

The burger was cooked very well. It was nice and juicy and definitely had a kick to it due to the pepper jack. Having had this and the Roaring Fork one before, I preferred this one. This dish came with tons of fries as well that were perfectly crispy and salted.

The tofu salad has recently been removed so I am not including that in our review, but I am sad that that is now gone as we did really enjoy it.

If you’re looking for a nice relaxing spot to grab a meal I recommend here. It’s an easy boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom too. If you’ve never seen this resort during the holidays then you need to add it to your list this winter!

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
