Epic Eats! Frosty Moon Vegan Ice Cream and Cookie

Universal’s brand new park, Universal Epic Universe, opens on May 22nd. Fortunately for us we have been able to experience this park during it’s preview stage before opening, and with that we’ve been able to try the food! This post is about one of the best sweet snacks you can find in any of the Orlando parks right now.

Frosty Moon is a kiosk located in the Celestial Park section. This walk up window has ice cream and other treats. Luckily for us, they have Vegan Vanilla Ice Cream and a Chocolate Chip Cookie to enjoy.

The Vegan Vanilla Ice Cream comes in soft serve form and can be in a waffle cone, which Universal Orlando Vegans confirmed was vegan, or in a cup. Additionally you can get it topped with Crushed Oreos or with the Birthday Sprinkles, which Shelby also confirmed were vegan as well.

The ice cream was very creamy and hit perfectly with the hot afternoon. We opted for a cup just in case it was a quick melt. There was a slight sourness to the ice cream the more we ate it, but it didn’t bother me. I will absolutely enjoy this again, and likely try it in the cone next time.

The Chocolate Chip Cookie was SO GOOD. This thing was slightly crispy on the edges, soft in the middle, and loaded with chocolate and salt. It was the perfect cookie texture and the sweet and salty was truly a treat. This is a must get for me each visit now. Just know they may sell out, so if you want one get there earlier! Also they do not keep well with the heat, so unless you want a lot of melted chocolate in your bag, eat it when you get it.

I highly recommend checking the Universal Orlando Vegans website for quick access to a list of the vegan options at the Universal parks.

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
