New Bar Snack at Gurgling Suitcase

If you’re staying at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, or are looking for something to do during a trip to Disney Springs, you can easily head over to the pool bar at this resort called Gurgling Suitcase Libations and Spirits.

This is a very small and very Key West vibe bar that is indoors next to the quick service, Good’s Food To Go. They have a few seats at the bar, and one table inside, otherwise you can take your food and drink back to the pool or sit at one of the many outdoor tables here.

The vegan option here is the House-made Chips and Dip. These are the same delicious kettle style chips you can get at their quick service and they come with two dips, a Plant-based French Onion Dip and a Red Pepper Aioli.

The chips are well seasoned, thin, and have a great crunch to them. They hold up well with the dips as well. The French Onion Dip was my preference of the two, it was a really strong onion flavor with tons of chopped onions in it. It was a weird consistency though in that it was very scoop-able and seemed thick, however, once you put the chip in your mouth the dip seemed melt away and leave only onions. I was trying to figure out what was happening and the only way I can describe it is that it tasted .. wet? I enjoyed it, but it was just so weird how it just melted away.

The Red Pepper Aioli was absolutely just a red pepper hummus. I was expecting there to be a drizzle of the aioli on the chips or something based on the menu description, so the hummus dip was a bit odd. It tasted fine, just a basic plain red pepper hummus with no heat to it.

Red Pepper Aioli

I would grab this snack again as I am a sucker for potato chips. You can get it to go as well, which I assume means it comes in a little easy to travel box which could be enjoyed anywhere. As a reminder, you don’t need to be staying at a Walt Disney World resort to dine there. So grab a resort boat from Disney Springs and come check out this resort!

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
