Vegan Disney World at home: Perkins Thai Noodles

With the parks being closed we figured it’s a good time to recreate another one of our favorite dishes at Walt Disney World. The Perkins Thai Noodles can be found at Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. The dish, as of October 2019, is vegan as is. This remains one of our absolutely favorite entree’s we’ve had in the parks. It is on the spicy side, so the best part about making it at home means you can make it as spicy, or not, as you need!

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!

  1. Followed recipe pretty much because we had it last year at Skipper’s Canteen. He thought it had cilantro in it so we added cilantro plus seasoned the veggies tofu a bit. What he wanted for his birthday, because he says it’s the best food he had ever eaten. It didn’t disappoint.

  2. This was wonderful. The sauce had nice heat on it. We made it with rice noodles and used the sauce on rice, both were delicious. Thank you.

  3. Hi Melissa, Canā€™t wait to try this! Where do you find vegan sambal? Or are you making that yourself?

    1. We got ours from a local Asian market, but have also seen it at sprouts and Whole Foods.

  4. i want to make this so bad!! looks delicious, What does press tofu mean? i never cooked it before?

    1. You can wrap it in a cloth or paper towels then put it on a plate and place something heavy on it to drain the excess water.

  5. I’ve only had the real thing once, but this recipe is so amazing. Making it again a week later because its just that good!
