We recently were visiting Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort and stopped in their quick service restaurant, Roaring Fork. Roaring Fork is located just past the lobby/Artist Point, around the corner on the way to the pool. We went to see what vegan options they had and came across two. We decided to try the Zesty Slaw Burger, which comes vegan as is, and the Wilderness Wrap which was vegan when you omit the feta cheese.
We took our table marker and grabbed a table in a quiet room. We were one of two families there at the time which was nice and a rarity at Disney World. Our food came out in about 10 minutes.
The Zesty Slaw Burger is a Beyond Burger patty with lettuce, tomato, spicy slaw (which wasn’t spicy), and Follow Your Heart Gouda cheese. The cheese did not come standard on it, we asked if they had vegan cheese and they put it on it for us (and we recommend doing this!). The burger is served on a vegan brioche bun with house-made chips, which we are seeing more and more places. The burger was cooked well and the bun was slightly toasted.
The Wilderness Wrap was just okay. It came with red pepper hummus, Bibb lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, in a whole wheat wrap with house-made chips. I always go for the veg only option so I was excited to see the wrap on the menu.
While it wasn’t bad, I wish there was more filling in it. It was a bit light on the lettuce so it got soggy with the tomato and hummus. Next time, I would ask for extra lettuce and cucumber. If you want a good veggie wrap, I highly recommend taking a trip to Disney Springs for the wrap at Wolfgang Puck Express as it is our favorite vegetable wrap on property. Overall, we did enjoy this and if we needed a quick meal at the Wilderness Lodge would get this again.
