Last November we were at the ESPN complex for the RunDisney race expo for the Wine & Dine half-marathon. While at the ESPN complex we randomly saw that the Wide World of Sports Grill had a vegan burger so we had to give it a try. I mean… we were running the next day.
It is listed on the menu as ‘Vegan Burger’ and we were super interested based on the description,”Plant based patty topped with Melted Vegan Pepper Jack Cheese, Vegan Sriracha Aioli, Arugula, Tomatoes, and Pickled Red Onion on a Toasted Pretzel Bun and a side of Potato Barrels.” They definitely weren’t scared to use the word vegan here. We grabbed a table and waited around 10 minutes for it to arrive.
It looked great and was the Beyond Burger in the classic Disney style that looks like a hockey puck. We assumed this would come with tater tots but we were served Zapp’s Potato Chips (maybe they were out of tots?)
Andrew loved this burger and said it is one of his favorites on property. I am a hard sell because, I don’t love the Beyond Burger but, I can say the pretzel bun and toppings were great. I especially loved the flavors of the aioli and the picked red onions. For the price we paid I think it’s a solid option for a Disney burger. We would order this again at our next race expo.
