Grand Floridian Cafe for lunch

Last month we spent the last few days of our wedding trip at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. After we checked-in we decided to grab brunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe, which is served until 2pm. This restaurant is casual American dining located in the main building on the ground level next to 1900 Park Fare.

We did not have a reservation and waited around 10 minutes to be seated. We were seated next to a window which had a beautiful view of the gardens outside. Our server greeted us with complimentary champagne as we were celebrating so we were off to a great start.

We let him know we were both vegan and he knew exactly what to point out to us on the menus. We ordered the Avocado Toast, Impossible Burger, and a side of fries. Both of these dishes have the new Plant-Based logo on them so they come vegan as-is. [There is also a great vegan swap here of the Miso-Glazed Salmon with Tofu]

Let me start off with the Avocado Toast. This is not your basic toast. It starts off with a house made tomato butter (which I had to double check on because I am nervous of any ‘pink sauce’ being vegan), sliced avocado, fresh micro greens, and is served with marinated fire-roasted tomatoes on multigrain toast. This is some of the best avocado toast we have had. 100% will order this again.

The Impossible Burger did not disappoint either. I am super hit or miss with burgers- I don’t care for Beyond patties. I love the Impossible Foods burger almost every time I get it if it’s cooked right, aka not overcooked. This one comes on a vegan Brioche bun with an avocado aioli, caramelized onions, Follow Your Heart smoked gouda, served with lettuce, tomato, onion, and a pickle. This is officially my fave burger on property (since Nomad Lounge changed the buns on the sliders). It was cooked perfectly and I have nothing to say about it other than I will also 100% be ordering it again.

The Impossible Burger is served with house chips (which are the same style ones served in Gasparilla Island Grill) but these are seasoned with dill. The house dill chips were also amazing as well as the thick cut fries. It is a beautiful location to eat and you get to walk through the Grand Floridian lobby when you dine here. This restaurant is an easy boat ride from the Magic Kingdom with a monorail ride back. I highly recommend making it a part of your trip!
