Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2018

It’s been a few years since we attended the most magical party offered in Walt Disney World. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party runs on select nights in November and December in Magic Kingdom and features a unique parade, stage show, dance parties, and a firework show only offered on those nights. Not only do they have the special shows, but they also have many treat stations as well as party specific food for sale. This party is a hard-ticket event which begins at 7pm, this means your normal entry ticket does not cover your entry to the party. However, you can enter the park with your party ticket starting at 4pm, but none of the party treats and activities start until 7pm.

Many years ago when we went they only offered standard complimentary cookies and hot chocolate at each treat station with the option of Enjoy Life allergy friendly cookies. Now they have different types of cookies and drinks at each location. You can find the list of what and where it can be found in the party map. Each treat location can easily be found by locating the giant candy cane lights.

Treat Location for Pinocchio’s Village Haus

Since many of the stops still just offer Enjoy Life Cookies for us vegans (and allergy guests), we were excited to see what new options we could find. We made sure to stop by Pinocchios Village Haus in Fantasyland for some JUST Cookie Dough first. It is not listed on the map, but you can ask a cast member for it at the station. The first one I asked didn’t know what I was asking for, but luckily another overheard me and went to grab them for us. We heard from a few of our followers on Instagram that they were told they had ran out, so I would suggest going there early in the night to get some.

JUST Birthday Cake Flavored Cookie Dough

The cookie dough was awesome, we’ve had the chocolate chip before but not birthday cake. It comes in a tiny cup with a little spoon attached to the lid to eat it with. We watched the JUST presentation in Epcot during Food & Wine a few weeks ago and know that they are going to slowly be popping up in the parks. We can’t wait to see what’s next from them!

Over in Adventureland at Tortuga Tavern they had Snowmen Soft Pretzels, which are the same pretzels as Mickey ones and are vegan! They also have snowcones, but I was unable to confirm if the syrup was vegan so I did not get that.

Snowman lost his head

The Snowman was okay. It was relatively dry and just tasted like a standard Mickey pretzel (obviously). But free is free so I will eat it up!

Santa Goofy

We only met one character during the evening, Santa Goofy. The line wasn’t very long so we got to see him pretty quick. There are several unique characters at this event from Sandy Claws to Scrooge McDuck, so be sure to check the My Disney Experience app to see who’s meeting where!

Casey’s Corner

A few restaurants are open during the event. On the map it says how late each one is open, so be sure to check that if you’re going! We opted for some Plant-Based Dogs from Casey’s Corner, which is open for the whole party. I ended up doing the mobile-ordering here (because the line was ridiculous at 7:30pm), and I ordered us one Plant-Based Slaw Dog and one plain Plant-Based Dog, which was $2 cheaper. They have a toppings bar there so I ended up putting mustard and sauerkraut on mine.

You can also stop by Pecos Bill’s for a Plant-Based Southwest Burger or the Vegan Vegetable Rice Bowl until 11pm. Cosmic Ray’s is also open all night where you can try the brand new Vegan Plant-Based Sloppy Joe.

Christmas Decor

We unfortunately missed the parade (which is my favorite part of the party), due to meeting Goofy and not being able to stay until 11 with a toddler. We did catch the Holiday Wishes fireworks show and enjoyed the “snoap” on Main Street.

Cinderella’s Castle

I feel like there is so much at this party to do and not enough time to enjoy it all! If you have the opportunity to go to this party I absolutely recommend it. To get tickets for this event you can purchase them early here, or day of if they are available.
