Vegan Snacks from World Showcase

We’re often asked about vegan candies and snacks that you can find in the shops in World Showcase in Epcot. We’re not big candy people so we never really checked until now. So let’s take a trip around World Showcase Lagoon and see what vegan items we find in each pavilion.
Disclaimer: We have not have found EVERYTHING as there are so many items in each pavilion and many have sticker labels over the ingredient lists (whyyy!). Additionally, some of these items contain mono and diglycerides, which can be from non-vegan sources. Lastly, some items contain palm oil, which we know some vegans avoid. Everything found is from November 2018. Always check ingredients for yourself.

Let’s start in Mexico and head counter-clockwise because that’s our preference when in World Showcase! (But really, do you go clockwise or counter-clockwise?)

Mexico

The Mexico Pavilion was hard to find items as many of the labels were covered.

 

Norway

Norway had several candies, including a vegan favorite, Swedish Fish.

 

China

China had a few more options then we thought they would, including a variety of ginger chews.

 

Germany

The only pavilion we have ever actually picked up chocolates is from Germany as we love the brandy filled chocolates they sell. They have been selling candy that is blatantly vegan for a few months now too.

 

Italy

We honestly didn’t expect to find anything in the Italy Pavilion, but we found a few things.

 

America

The America Pavilion has no snacks in the shop.

 

Japan

Japan has the biggest selection of snacks in all of World Showcased. For vegans there is a wide variety of snacks from hard candies, wasabi snacks, and instant ramen. To note about the ramen, there were a few other flavors that appeared vegan but are Tonkotsu flavored, which is typically a pork broth. You can find more info about the ramen we found here.

 

Morocco

Morocco used to have olives and other items, now they just have tea and these mixed nut boxes.

 

France

The France Pavilion has no snacks in the shop.

 

UK

In the UK we found mostly chocolates and biscuits. Many of the items in this shop had labels over the ingredients.

 

Canada

The only options we found/they even had in Canada was maple syrup based.

 

This was all we found when looking, remember to always check the ingredients yourself as things can absolutely change.
