Snack Series: Peter Pan Float

A new treat has arrived in Magic Kingdom and it has quickly become my favorite thing to get there. The Peter Pan Float is a new arrival to Storybook Treats in Magic Kingdom and doesn’t look to be vegan based on its description. On the menu it states it is Key Lime Ice Cream in Sprite topped with a chocolate feather.

We went to check it out the week it arrived to get the details. To our pleasant surprise it is not ice cream at all, but it is Dole Lime soft-serve. To be made vegan you need to order it without the chocolate feather.

I wasn’t sure if I would like the Sprite in the float, as I didn’t love the Fanta in the Orange Float at Sunshine Seasons and am not a huge soda drinker. I didn’t mind the Sprite, it isn’t very flavorful so it doesn’t really add or take away. The second time I got this, I only drank about half of what melted/was left of the Sprite. If you aren’t in the mood for a float, you can get the soft-serve in a cup.

I’m not sure how long this treat will be around, but I’m hoping it ends up being permanent because I actually like it more than a Pineapple Dole Whip!

Back in 2014 I created Vegan Disney World after going to Walt Disney World several times and finding no resource for vegan options. Corey and I began this blog from our trips and have now moved closer to the mouse to eat around the parks on a weekly basis. Since the blog started we have cruised on Disney Cruise Line, gone to Tokyo Disneyland and to Disneyland in California!
